Bea Inspired Award

The EPSHA Executive Board is pleased to announce that nominations are now open for the "Bea Inspired Award".

​

The “Bea Inspired” Award was established in memory of a remarkable individual, Beatriz Monteros, a dedicated school-based practitioner who bravely fought until cancer claimed her life.

 

In remembrance of Bea's impactful work, her family has generously established an annual monetary award to recognize an outstanding Speech-Language clinician in the El Paso area. We feel privileged to celebrate the exceptional woman that she was.

​

 

The winner will be highlighted and presented with the award at the 2024 Voice of the Mountains Speech Therapy Conference.

To be considered for this esteemed award, nominees must submit the following:

 

A personal essay

A resume

Three letters of recommendation

All submissions are carefully reviewed by the EPSHA Awards Committee, along with the previous year's recipient, and our benefactor, Bea's daughter Valerie Callaway.
